Don’t you think breakfasts are the best? I certainly do! And there are so many different dishes you can make for breakfast. You can even (almost) make a healthy dessert and have it for breakfast. Sort of like this delicious black forest baked oatmeal.
Ingredients (serves 1 really hungry or 2 medium hungry people):
1 large banana mashed, save a little for the top if you wish
1/4 cup yogurt
6 tbs oats (I used half baby oats and half rolled oats)
1 tbs raw cocoa
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
6 tbs-1/2 cup milk
cherries, chopped
dark chocolate chunks
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
2. Combine the mashed banana and yogurt in a bowl and add the dry ingredients on top. Add the milk and mix to combine, adding a little more milk if needed at a time till a thick batter is achieved.
3. Mix in some cherries and dark chocolate chunks and pour into a baking dish. Top with reserved banana if you wish, more cherries and dark chocolate chunks and bake for 20 minutes.
4. Let cool till warm but not scalding hot before eating.
